Tonight was an extreme and a very energetic night for all of us students who go to Glenbrae School. One of the best nights where all Pacific and the beautiful Island cultures were represented wonderful and in a beautiful mannered performance from us students, at Glenbrae School.
Yes we had our Cultural Festival for this year "2k16". Wonderful and confident seniors 'Mele and Levi.R' who were our hosts for the night.
Starting off this night with a entertaining opening of the night we were entertained by our school 'Kapa Haka' group leaded by students Danny Joe and Fusi. The performances the Kapa Haka performed were really entertaining and really powerful of what culture they were representing for our cultural festival. Fusi and Danny Joe, Francesca also did a really great job on leading a song performed in the Kapa Haka group.
Moving on we had the Hula girls from the juniors who represented a beautiful and a paradise Island, Hawaii for this cultural festival. They had great hula skills and they have been improving also at the same time which was awesome. Nice one Hula Girls.
From the sweet hula girls from Hawaii we carried on with the night.
Until then it came to my class who had to perform but not as a class but as separate as boys and girls did there own performances. So that was 2 items presented from my class.
Us girls performed a dance and sang a song along with a Samoan all-time Mili Mili. Mainly it was a mixed performance, we danced to a song half way called 'Waka Waka' by Shakira, Petty, and the Samoan Mili Mili. We did a great performance.
The boys also performed 2 haka's that were presented proudly and strong. They performed a Maori haka and a Toa Samoa one. Well Done to Danny Joe and Moses who leaded a haka each.
We all did great and represented our cultures proudly. A big congrats to Mele and Levi.R who did a excellent job of being wonderful hosts for the 'EXTREME' cultural festival night. Also to all teachers, teacher aids and parents who helped out to make a wonderful night like this happen. Thank you so so much' we, students all appreciate of what such hard work and trouble you went through just to make this night happen also.
