DAY 7: Spirit in Motion –The Paralympic Games

DAY 7: Spirit in Motion –The Paralympic Games

Today I am going to tell you about para-cycling well not really but tell you something that will involve that sport. Well if you should know before we carry on with this blog post there are a few things you will be reading today. In this blog post I will well I am going to tell you about if I was to chose one person to compete with me in this sport and why I would compete with this person.

Well if I was chosen to pick one person, just one person to compete with me in this sport it would be a boy because I want to experience it with a boy as I always experience new things with girls so here is his name, his name is Chris he is in my class of course and I would want to bring him along to compete with me because He is funny, encouraging and because he could be fast at times and is very helpful when needed. I need him to compete with me in this sport because throughout what I've already said he could do this throughout the challenge of the sport and we could support each other as a team would. So that's why I will chose him to compete with me in this challenge/sport activity.

Have a awesome holiday. Keep Calm. Stay Strong. Stay Safe and God Bless
Cheers

Orchestra Symphony Trip

Orchestra Symphony Trip

Today at 12:00 pm Students from room 7 and a few more students from other classes went on a free trip to watch our New Zealand Orchestra Symphony group because it was a free show and since our topic for this term and half next term is Musical arts we got to learn much more and for some of us it was our first live Orchestra Symphony we have been to. At the Orchestra Symphony show in Manukau Centre we watched a show and listened to a story read by Chris involving the sounds of the animals created by the Orchestra Symphony group. The conductor Hamish was great in getting the group to reach the tunes they were suppose to reach. I enjoyed the tune of the Symphony and getting to listen closely to what instrument was playing at times. I had a good day and at the same time I learnt and others learnt something new from this concert/show.

The Asthma show

The Asthma Show

Today, on a sunny morning, Glenbrae students had a show on Asthma in the School Hall. We meet this man named Chris he was dressed in a blue suit, he was our host for the morning show.

Chris talked about Asthma.  Chris said” that Asthma is really bad, and Asthma can affect your lungs and your breathing, it’s like you're breathing into a small straw”.

Throughout the show, Chris  introduced Sailor, the fish . Sailor the fish was big and orangey and greeny . Sailor was funny because he flipped his tail when he sang a song about Asthma.

We learnt about Flower pollen, Smoke, Virus, Animal fur, Dust mites and Cold air. These are the things that cause Asthma happening in your bronchus and in your lungs.

I learnt so many things about Asthma in the show, What Asthma is, How can you help Asthma. But the best way of helping people is getting a Orange or Blue inhaler and a Asthma tube and try that for six times.
