Writing Session
Today after our reading session those who were in Miss Stone's writing group and had done there whole recipe had gone down to the kitchen hall to start cooking. My group with Luisa and Maara had started on our meal called 'Cheesy Minions and a side of Bob' you could find the recipe on my blog from earlier in the year. This was apart of a procedure writing session in using instructions to follow.
In my group with Maara and Luisa we had different jobs around the table but came together for taste testing and for opinions to make our meal go onto a whole other level for those who will be taste testing our dish. So Maara worked on heating the potatoes in the microwave for five minutes then she scooped out the potato leaving an inch from the skin. Then adding in melted butter, sour cream and milk to then mash potatoes with those added ingredients. While Maara was working on the potatoes, Luisa and I was working on the salad, we first added the baby lettuce and spinach then chopping the tomatoes and spring onions to add in with the pre-cooked bacon bits and squeezed lemon juice, lemon swiz and salt and pepper, anyways the salad was finished and was sent away to the fridge.
The potatoes were coming out good, we tasted it and it was delicious. So then together we helped Maara with adding the sour cream on top with pre-cooked bacon bits and cheese then it was off to the grill for five minutes or three minutes at least. Out came our salad from the fridge and our Cheesy Minions from the grill us girls blessed our food before eating and then we shared our salad out to the table.
It was very fun but we got to experience the feeling of following a recipe we created as a team. It was great having to use team work and procedure writing to write our recipe for this day but still to come we have more writing sessions to go.
Mele putting the potato in the microwave to heat.
