This is what I picked up from reading the first few pages.
May Amelia lives in Washington State in 1900, But she just can't act her part of a proper young lady. Working in muddy puddles on a farm on the rainy Nasel River isn't easy for May Amelia especially if you have 7 brothers and a papa who proclaims that Girl is useless.
