DAY 7: Spirit in Motion –The Paralympic Games - Fundraiser Ideas

DAY 7: Spirit in Motion –The Paralympic Games - Fundraiser Ideas

Well today, those athletes from New Zealand that are flying to Rio de Janeiro to compete in the Rio Olympics of 2016. Well suddenly most athletes from New Zealand have to fundraise money to fly over to Rio de Janeiro because the flight expenses is really expensive these days. Well lucky my family and I have planned 2 ways of raising funds for there flight.

Our first idea was this:

We all planned out that it would be great if they in they I mean the athletes. Well we came up with this. Athletes will work as a team and set up a sport stadium where there is a lot of ground or area. So then all athletes could come together and make a place for children all ages and adults a stadium or area where they can play and learn heaps of information and games to play with the athletes or even have an experience with the athletes at least. Here are some pricing Ideas. All children under 5 are free here are the prices for the rest $5 for children 5-10, $10 children 10-13, $15 teenagers 13-17 and then 18+ is for $25. Elders are also free from ages 65+. So that is our first Idea.

Our second idea was this:

Athletes go out and give lessons on what they do or information about what there interest is about or the sport they play and then they will give free autographs and open up a tuck shop where people could buy there gear or buy something new with a free photo. Prices for an all signed T-shirt from all athletes that will be attending the Rio Olympics this year. That shirt will be $250 and lower. So then maybe during that they will have shows, rides, food to go and some other fun stuff that will cost $5 or $10.

Vote: Which Idea is best, Idea 1 or Idea 2. I hope you enjoyed our Ideas. We wanted to use the talents they are best known for and use it for something special that could make people like us really happy and at the sane time they are making the athletes feel very appreciated as we give our support.

Stay Safe, Keep Calm, Stay Strong, Carry on and God Bless
Cheers

Hi Linda Kiki, these sound like well thought out ideas! I like the idea of athletes playing with the public. They could even use a community centre or school with a field. The prices also sound very reasonable and I think a lot of people would turn up.

Hi Linda Kiki,

I completely agree with Ms Stone. I think that you have come up with two really creative and interesting ideas! If I was to vote, I think that I would vote for option #2 because I would really like it if athletes came to Glenbrae and signed autographs, talked about their experiences and offered lessons. That would be pretty cool, wouldn't it?

Thanks for putting in so much time and effort for this activity. I am really impressed!

Cheers, Rachel :)
