Day 1: Once Upon a Time in Olympia...No Girls Allow

Day 1: Once Upon a Time in Olympia...No Girls Allow

So if you all should know Women weren't allow to compete in any sports of the Olympics. In fact, Women were also often forbidden to even watch the sports game. Only all those Men were allow. Today I'm going to see in my own opinion if this was a fair rule or not and why or why not. Well, in my own opinion I would have said this is NOT a FAIR RULE. Why? Well, As many Women and young ladies should be able to be counted in on a Olympic sport tournament as plenty Women are very fit and need to be somewhere good in there lives *not saying Men are not fit what so ever*. Women and young ladies need to be included on whatever there country is taking part in because not so may Men around will be available to be filling up the spots for those who cannot make it or is not so well. Also because Women are strong and are competitive. If you have a different opinion to mind. Please Comment below your opinion.

Hi Linda Kiki, I find it so interesting that women weren't even allowed to watch the games! Can you imagine if things were like that today?

Hi Linda Kiki,

I really enjoyed reading your comments related to the 'No Girls Allowed' rule. I certainly agree with you that women are very capable of competing in the Olympics and should have the same opportunities as men to demonstrate their skills. I am very pleased the modern day Olympic committee agrees with us and that they have invited both men and women to participate in the games. When the Rio Olympics start next month, every single sporting event that is played will feature both men and women. This was not always the case. In fact, prior to 2012, some sports were still 'men's only.' We have come a long way in a short period of time, I think!

Keep up the great work, Linda-Kiki. I'm really pleased to see that you are actively blogging over the holiday. It's wonderful!

Cheers, Rachel
