Procedure Writing ~ Maori Bread

Takakau is the name of a traditional Maori bread. It does not contain any sugar which is good. This bread is more delicious when you add flavour toppings on it, also with a cup of tea will do it more delicious.

!Before preparing this bread make sure to wash and dry your hands!

Serves : 20 people
Prep Time: 5-7 minutes

Ingredients

  • 5 cups of flour

  • 5 teaspoons baking powder

  • 600mls milk (approximately)

Utensils (Fork, Knifes etc)

  • Large bowl

  • Measuring cup

  • Butter Knife or Fork

  • Hands (10 fingers, 2 hands)  

Method

Take a large bowl and add the 5 cups of flour into the large bowl.

Then add the 5 teaspoons of baking powder into the large bowl of flour, once added stir the dry ingredients.

After stirring the dry ingredients, make a hole in the middle of the flour and then add the 600mls of milk into the large bowl.

Once you've added the milk, stir until the dough is formed.

Knead your bread, put it on a tray and preheat your oven to 200 degree;s.

Leave your bread to bake for at least 30 minutes or until golden crispy.



Add butter or any toppings on the Maori bread for a more delicious, light feeling.
